Jack Bufton

Mr John ""Jack"" Bufton, aged 93, of Whitwell Common, Worksop, was buried at Whitwell Council Cemetery, on March 8, 2019, following a service at St Lawrence's Church, Whitwell.
Born in Stanfree, Derbyshire, and a lifelong local resident, Jack was a deputy at Steetley Colliery until his retirement in 1977.
His interests included mending televisions, sequence dancing with his wife, gardening and he was a lifelong Newcastle United FC supporter.
Jack, who passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital on February 13, 2019, was predeceased by his wife Vera and leaves daughter Jacky Osborne, son John Bufton, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
