Mrs Emma Standing (known as Pem), of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, has passed away at The Pines Care Home, Ashington, aged 99.
Most of her life was spent in Sutton Scarsdale and, before marriage, Pem was a doctor's maid at Derby City Hospital. After her marriage she worked with her husband on their farm in Sutton Scarsdale (Springwood Farm). She enjoyed gardening and embroidery.
Pem was predeceased by her husband Arthur and leaves daughter Linda, grandchildren Marie, Michael, Margaret, Linda and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral service is due to take place on Friday, October 25, at Calow Parish Church, at noon, followed by burial in Sutton Scarsdale churchyard.
