Mr Douglas Bingham, of Poolsbrook, has passed away at Whittington Care Home, aged 95.
Born at Killamarsh and a lifelong local resident, Douglas was a miner working at Waleswood, Westhorpe and Ireland Collieries (Portland Seam).
His interests included gardening and walking, but first and foremost he was a family man.
Douglas was predeceased by his wife Avis, he leaves sons and daughter Terence, Ann and Paul, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service takes place on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Chesterfield Crematorium, at 10.10am.
